Julia van den Boorn creates modern couture and custom garments, focusing on craft and creation. With a strong focus on textile manipulations through handweaving, quilting and other techniques, rich and unique textures come to life. Draping, cuts and silhouettes are inspired by liquid motions in nature against an opposing linear man-made environment.

After graduating from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, Julia worked for several years in London as a pattern maker and fit technician, before moving back to Amsterdam and joining the atelier team at Iris van Herpen couture. With more than a decade of experience within the fashion industry, she then decided to venture out and establish her own eponymous label.
